Justin Timberlake is giving a lesson on recording studio etiquette.
The music superstar sparked rumors of releasing new music on Wednesday after tweeting about his number one rule for the studio: respecting the music!
It looks like JT’s code of conduct was recently violated, because he subtly shaded a certain “asshole” who was apparently checking their social media when they should have been listening to the music!
The 36-year-old shared on Twitter:
Studio Rule #1:
If the artist plays their music and you are on your phone looking at your social media… Chances are, you’re an ASSHOLE.

Whoa. What kind of troll would DARE disrespect Sir Timberlake when he’s previewing new music?
Of course, it’s not clear whether JT himself is aforementioned “artist” — but fans took the tweet to mean the singer was on the brink of releasing some new music:
dad, when can we expect new music? 👀👀👀

Okay but the question is… does this mean you’re recording new music?!?!

So when can I expect your fifth album Justin? September perhaps?

We’re just as excited for a potential new album, obvi, but also interested to know who this mysterious “asshole” could be…
