Margie Claus, the new Christmas musical film from Melissa McCarthy has a release date
Melissa McCarthy‘s upcoming Christmas musical filmÂ Margie Claus has just gotten a release date, according to Deadline. The Warner Bros./New LineÂ holiday film will hit theaters on November 15, 2019.Â Margie Claus will be directed by Ben Falcone and co-written with Damon Jones.
InÂ Margie Claus, Santa Claus has gone missing on Christmas Eve. Margie Claus has to leave her home in the North Pole “for the first time in eons” to rescue him. Falcone and McCarthy will produce through their company On the Day.
McCarthy is known for playing the lead role in the TV seriesÂ Mike & Molly, which ran for six seasons from 2010 to 2016 and for which she won aÂ Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Sheâ€™s also knownÂ for playing the role of Sookie St. James in Gilmore GirlsÂ (2000-2007) and the revivalÂ Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. McCarthy hasÂ been seen in films likeÂ Bridesmaids, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress,Â Spy,Â The Boss andÂ Ghostbusters. Sheâ€™s recently received rave reviews for her portrayal of press secretary Sean Spicer onÂ Saturday Night Live. She was recently cast inÂ the upcoming STXfilms movieÂ The Happytime Murders. She and director Falcone, who also happens to be her husband, have worked together onÂ Tammy andÂ The Boss, and haveÂ Life of the Party on deck for May 11, 2018. McCarthy is also working with Falcone on the TV seriesÂ Nobodies which she is executive producing.
